Engine and Performance

Ron at RK is a renowned Track and Drag GTR specialist, 3 Times BDRA Drag Race Champion, TOTB Arabia and Time Attack Winner.

This is one of the finest examples of modified R32 GTR's available in the U.K, it's not just a bolt on upgrade 600bhp GTR it's a properly and well thought out built GTR.

Full engine build less than 2,000miles ago
This is not your usual 600bhp spec GTR Ron at RK tuning has gone to town when building this engine, as the customer wanted a reliable big power GTR Ron recommended a complete forged engine with a full Apexi counter Crank which will happily rev past 9,500rpm. Ron also installed his custom sump to stop any oil issues when on track and is also running a Tomei oil pump which is known for being one of the best oil pumps made for the GTR providing this GTR with 6-8bar of oil pressure when cold and 3 bar at hot idle. Providing the power to the engine Ron recommended the HKS T0Z single turbo as its well known for its reliability and excellent boost response on the RB26. Cooling side of things have been carefully thought out and using only top brand aftermarket parts, and you can see the effect when driving as the oil and water temps stay very cool (60-70 degrees when cruising).

Built to run at pro class Time attack, but great to use on street
The majority of tuned GTR's you will see for sale very rarely up rate the gearbox (due to cost), this is not any ordinary GTR! It comes with OS Giken 5 speed gear kit which can take allot more power and torque in comparison to the standard GTR gearboxes. The great thing about these gearboxes are they feel stock so there is no need for aggressive changing like with dog boxes. OS Giken recommends their gearkits are suitable to run up to 800bhp.

Well if I say the car is savage once on boost it's an understatement, for a car to hold its own against a 1000bhp supra on the drag strip it's got to be packing a punch! As proven with its Standing quarter mile time of 10.34 seconds. Even when on full boost it's easy to control and the way it pulls up through the gears is so smooth. The thing that impressed me about this GTR is the way it spools up so quickly for a large single, there is none of that waiting around for boost associated with large singles. Boost has been set at 1.3 bar low and 1.6bar high.

Brakes and handling
Extremely nimble and feels on its toes, it's been set up by Ron to be suitable for track use so as you can imagine it pretty much chews up any bend on the road with ease. The chassis feels very solid but surprisingly very comfortable to drive on street and doesn't feel like a car that would be suitable for time attack. Braking is taken care of thanks to the AP racing 6 pot front brake callipers and the Brembo R33GTR rear upgrade that provides a very strong and progressive amount of power which will make you feel comfortable stopping from high speeds.

Exterior
Very clean throughout, just to show you the extent they went to when building this GTR the shell was acid dipped before the repaint. The exterior has been resprayed in Porsche Yellow and the job was documented on DVD showing the full strip down and re-paint, it also had Veilside rear bumper and side skirts installed giving it an aggressive stance. It came with a GT wing which we have replaced with a standard R32 GTR spoiler as its suits the car better.

Interior
Has been treated with a leather re-trim in black/blue, Sparco multi function gauge allows you to monitor oil, water temps and oil pressure. It also has gauges to monitor vital knock, fuel pressure and air fuel ratio. Overall the interior is immaculate and has a bubble free dash that is very common problem with the 32GTRs.
