HJA Bring you this awesome EVO 7 RS “Rally Sport” tuned by world renowned HKS Kansai in Japan using only top brand aftermarket items. Kansai Service is one of Japans top tuning shops “We like Tuning, but we love driving” is the companies mission statement and they have a worldwide reputation of building some of Japan’s craziest JDM machines.

As you can see from the pics the exterior is in fantastic condition for this type of car. Being a Grade 4, it has no accident history and has only covered a staggering 21,000km from new which is approximately 13kmiles!

Finding Evo’s in this high end JDM spec is becoming ever more difficult. The early model Evolutions are now extremely sought after worldwide, with prices increasing in Japan it is considered the next big thing in the burgeoning classic and performance car market.

This being the highly sought after RS model which features from factory: RS – "rally sport", close-ratio 5-speed, minimal interior, rally suspension, LSD, (Enkei Wheels, Recaro bucket seat, AYC (Active Yaw Control), Sports ABS (Anti-Lock braking system), Brembo brakes, double-din audio, power window are available as option), some of these parts have further been upgraded by Kansai service.

When this was first built by HKS Kansai Service this was the fastest street car around central circuit at the time.
The recipe for domination began with the engine. Kansai Service removed the engine to install an Array of JDM goodness. Running HKS forged conrods and oversized HKS forged pistons increasing displacement to push more power to spin the HKS Turbo, the HKS snail exits into a HKS down pipe and into a refreshingly stealthy HKS exhaust system.

The stock clutch has been changed out for a HKS carbon twin plate, it’s progressive and easy to use even in slow traffic. The car has also been equipped with 1.5 Rear differential which not as harsh as some of the other mechanical diffs on the market and can be easily used on street. When the car is moving and cornering hard they are something else!

In order to repeatedly and consistently stop this missile, Kansai Service installed a set of huge 6 Pot AP Racing callipers up front and 4 Pot AP’s on the rear these work a treat with the whole set up of the car.

The custom spec HKS Kansai coil overs provide the perfect dampening settings, set up using Kansais’s hours of trackside research. Giving the Evo balance and control, these coilovers allow it to dance around like a flyweight.

The HKS Kansai Evo 7RS is not your average tuned Evo, and HKS Kansai service is not your average tuner garage. Changes have been made to the engine, transmission, brakes, body and interior, but every piece has been engineered and thought out to provide a distinct advantage.

What surprised us most about this example is being so highly modified is how easy the car ran,
Oil pressure is healthy 6 bar+ cold start and 2.5bar hot idle. The car starts and idles effortlessly and the clutch and gearbox are very easy to use for street use.

We have had a Link G4 ECU fitted and mapped for U.K pump fuel, the car runs an effortless 500bhp.
